We breed our chinchillas on a rotation so that the mothers have one litter every two years, usually giving birth Feb-April or Aug-Oct. Kits stay with their mothers until they are 8 weeks old, and then have a transition peroid where they are placed in same sex groups or pairs and given more frequesnt handling. They can go to their new homes once they reach 10 weeks, provided we are satisfied with their health and progress.
People on the wait list will be sent updates of births when kits are 3 weeks old, and will have first pick to reserve from the kits available. If we still have available kits after this, we will post them below, and on pets4homes. Individuals can be reserved for £40 each which is removed from their final price.
All perspective owners must provided proof of an approved suitable set up and all necessary equipment, either via a video or in person. We will not finalise a sale if this condition is not met, though we are willing to hold a reserved kit while new owners get everything prepared. If these conditions are still not met by an agreed upon date and there is no proof perspective owners are attempting to meet them, the reservation may be lost, and not refunded. We are happy to work with perspective owners to recommend cages, equipment and such or to help rule out unsuitable options. If we decide a kit is not ready to be homed due to health we will offer an alternate kit or refund on the reservation.
On the day of sale, new owners are offered the chance to do a handling session with one of our chinchillas to be shown how to properly hold and healthcheck their new pet. Parents will be available to be viewed, and each chin comes with a birth certificate and a leaflet on basic care.

OUR POLICY
If you have bought one of our chinchillas we like to check up on your pet after their first month with you and then again at six months. This can just be a quick message or email but we are happy to see you in person just to make sure that your new addition is happy and healthy. Our animals also come with a guarantee that if you decide you can no longer keep a chinchilla that you bought/rescued from us then we will take them back from you at no cost and see to their health and wellbeing before deciding if they can be given a new loving home. We understand that sometimes circumstances change and it's not an owners fault so we're doing our best to make sure none of our animals end up in rescue centres.
