Reservations and Sales

 

We don't breed our chinchillas every year but when we have litters we post them here for sale. We care a lot about our animals and we do not let just anybody take a kit home, but that doesn't mean we wont accept inexperienced owners. If you are interested in having one of our kits message us and we will arrange to have a chat with you either over the phone, email or in person. If we are happy for one of our chinchillas to be sold to you then you can reserve them until they are old enough for their forever home. If there are no current kits you are still welcome to message and we can tell you who and when we next plan to breed as well as put you on our contact list for that litter.

Colour/Price guide 2025:
Prices vary slightly depending on lineage and colour standard.
Same sex pairs/groups will receive a discount as chinchillas
are very social animals that do best with a cage mate.

Reservation:

Kits can be reserved for £25 each and met once they are weaned, this reservation fee is non refundable unless the kit is not approved for sale (for example it is showing signs of poor health) in which case the full amount will be returned or another kit offered if the buyer is interested.
The reservation fee will be taken off of the end total amount on the day of sale.

If you are interested in a particular pairing, colour or sex but don't wish to reserve you are welcome to say so and we will accommodate as best we can, but reservations take first pick.

Sale:

Kits stay with their Dam until they are 8 weeks old and fully weaned, and then have a two week period of phased separation and meeting with other chins to make their move as smooth as possible. 

Perspective owners must show proof of an appropriate cage and set up including necessary food and equipment to be approved before the sale can be confirmed and kit handed over. This can be done via video or in person.
We will not finalise the sale if this condition is not met, though we are willing to hold a reserved kit while new owners get everything prepared. If these conditions are still not met by an agreed upon date and there is no proof perspective owners are attempting to meet them, the reservation may be lost, and not refunded.

We are happy to work with perspective owners to recommend cages, equipment and such or to help rule out unsuitable options.

                                                                                  OUR POLICY
 

If you have bought one of our chinchillas we like to check up on your pet after their first month with you and then again at six months. This can just be a quick message or email but we are happy to see you in person just to make sure that your new addition is happy and healthy. Our animals also come with a guarantee that if you decide you can no longer keep a chinchilla that you bought/rescued from us then we will take them back from you at no cost and see to their health and wellbeing before deciding if they can be given a new loving home. We understand that sometimes circumstances change and it's not an owners fault so we're doing our best to make sure none of our animals end up in rescue centres.
